Get Involved

There are many ways to serve alongside J2:18. Whether through prayer, outreach, mentoring, advocacy, fundraising, or church partnerships, every role helps us remain present as women affected by sexual exploitation pursue safety, stability, and a new beginning.

While our primary focus is serving women affected by sexual exploitation, our outreach teams naturally encounter people facing a variety of challenges. Through our outreach ministries, volunteers often have opportunities to offer encouragement, hope, and prayer to women, men, and children throughout our community.

Prayer Team

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do. We believe meaningful ministry begins and ends with prayer, and our Prayer Team serves as a vital part of the mission of J2:18.

Our Prayer Team gathers monthly and is committed to praying for the women we serve, our volunteers, community partners, and opportunities to reach women with hope and practical support. We pray for healing, restoration, protection, wisdom, and God's guidance as we seek to serve those affected by sexual exploitation throughout Middle Georgia.

Jail Mentorship

Here in Middle Georgia, we have the unique opportunity to meet in person with small groups of women inside the Bibb County Jail. Through a trusted relationship built over more than a decade, our volunteers provide encouragement, discipleship, and support to incarcerated women during a difficult and often uncertain season of life.

Volunteers serve in teams of two to three people and have opportunities to build meaningful relationships through one-on-one mentoring, conversation, encouragement, and prayer. We also facilitate Bible studies and group discussions, creating opportunities for women to ask questions, share openly, and learn more about Jesus.

We do not take this opportunity lightly. Many of the women who attend are eager for encouragement, genuine connection, and spiritual support. Through consistent presence and Christ-centered relationships, we have had the privilege of seeing women place their faith in Christ and experience hope in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Princess Night

Princess Night is a Friday night outreach program where our team goes into the community to offer a rose, a handmade card, encouragement, and prayer to women who may be experiencing sexual exploitation.

Women serve on the front lines of ministry while male volunteers serve in support roles as drivers and observers. Through consistent presence and genuine relationships, we seek to remind each woman that she is seen, valued, and loved.

Many of the women we encounter are seen repeatedly over time, creating opportunities to build trust, strengthen relationships, and remain present as needs arise.

Motel Outreach

Motel Outreach takes place on Saturday mornings as teams visit local motels with gift bags containing essential items. This outreach provides opportunities for both men and women to build relationships with those we encounter in the motel community through conversation, encouragement, and prayer.

While we often reconnect with some of the same women over time, our volunteers also have opportunities to interact with men and children. Men frequently have opportunities to pray with and encourage other men, while the entire team helps distribute gift bags and offer practical support to everyone we meet.

Through consistent presence and genuine relationships, Motel Outreach allows us to share hope while building trust one conversation at a time.

Encounter Night

Encounter Night teams connect with women working in a local strip club by offering encouragement, small gifts, prayer, and genuine relationships.

Our goal is not to judge or pressure, but to build trust and remind each woman that she is seen, valued, and loved. Through consistent visits and authentic conversations, we seek to be a source of encouragement and hope.

J2:18 Ambassadors

J2:18 Ambassadors serve as church liaisons, helping strengthen the relationship between J2:18 and their local congregation. Ambassadors communicate opportunities for involvement, share updates about the mission, and help connect their church to meaningful ways to support women in our community.

J2:18 Messengers

J2:18 Messengers help raise awareness by speaking to churches, civic groups, businesses, and community organizations about sexual exploitation, the work of J2:18, and opportunities to get involved. They help others understand the mission and impact of J2:18 throughout Middle Georgia.

Fundraising

Financial support helps make the mission of J2:18 possible, and volunteers can play an important role in helping raise awareness and support for the work. Opportunities may include assisting with fundraising initiatives, connecting others to the mission, helping secure sponsorships, organizing resource drives, or supporting special campaigns throughout the year.

Events

Throughout the year, J2:18 hosts special events that help raise awareness, build community support, and strengthen the mission. Volunteers may assist with planning, decorating, setup, hospitality, registration, logistics, and other event-related needs.

Volunteer opportunities may include supporting community events, awareness initiatives, and our annual Rising Courage Gala, which helps raise awareness and support for women affected by sexual exploitation throughout Middle Georgia.

Administrative & Behind-the-Scenes Opportunities

Not every volunteer serves in outreach. From time to time, opportunities are available to assist with administrative projects, organization, communications, data entry, resource coordination, and other practical needs that help support the mission of J2:18.
